I didn't expect a book nook kit to include a wand, but waving it to switch the lights on feels way more fun than fumbling for a button in the dark. The wand itself is nicely finished and has a good weight in the hand, not flimsy at all.
I honestly didn't expect the wand to feel this solid in my hand — the finish makes it look like a real prop, not a cheap add-on. Waving it to switch the nook lights on and off still gets me every time, and my kids fight over who gets to do it.
The wave-to-turn-on feature is genuinely fun and works every time, though the wand itself is lighter than I pictured. Took me a minute to find the right distance for the sensor, but once I did, it's a nice touch for my shelf setup.
