The pieces pop out cleanly without any tools, and I was surprised how snugly the hippo’s joints fit together once we started. Took us about an hour of focused teamwork, and it’s now sitting proudly on the shelf.

My kids and I spent a whole rainy afternoon building this hippo together, and the punch-out pieces were so sturdy we never needed glue or tools. Watching the head and body lock into place was genuinely satisfying, and it held up fine after they played with it afterwards.

The pieces punch out cleanly with zero splinters, so my nine-year-old could pop them out herself while I handled the tricky joints. No glue or tools meant we went from box to finished hippo in under an hour, and she’s already asking to do another one.
