The little poppy field section was the most fiddly part to assemble, but once the LEDs went in behind it the whole thing glowed like a tiny diorama. It sits between my Austen and Gaiman collections now, and I keep catching myself staring at the yellow brick road instead of reading.

I've never done a book nook before, but the Emerald City section came together way easier than I expected once I sorted the pre-cut pieces. The yellow brick road inlay is such a nice touch, and it looks great tucked between my Wizard of Oz books.

The little LED-lit poppy field is the detail that sold me, and it looks even better in person than in the listing photos. Took me two evenings to assemble, and the fit on the tiny fences was finicky, but the Emerald City glow at the end makes the whole shelf feel magical.
